SHORELINE DRIVE

The vast ocean spreads across the dusky horizon

The distant sun seems tired
as it sinks in the concrete jungle

As lights crop up and glow  along the jeweled   shoreline

The evening is slow ; The city is chirpy

Helter and skelter;  people  and thoughts wander

The mood is mellow;  and  joy simmers

Watching  from the window

As a million lives ebb and flow

My  auto-rickshaw  chugs away !
